Ralph Nader was a guest again this evening on the Daily Show, sounding as impassioned as ever, and making some very good (and depressing) points about our current political system.
Last time he was on they were discussing his book, The Seventeen Traditions (video).
On Indecision 2008: “Often accused of being a spoiler in the 2000 election, Ralph Nader laid out his reasons why you should consider him for the presidency. Did he convince you?” Weigh in with your two cents here.
My two cents? I would LOVE to have him as our nation’s leader. Do I think that will actually happen? No.* That seems about as likely as the Tooth Fairy becoming the next leader of Iraq. He’s too honest. That, of course, is what makes him awesome. But it means he’ll never win.
* Even if he did win, I would worry greatly about his personal safety.
